Let's stop the bickering, the childish trolling and all the other crap that makes this site so sad. We used to love it on here and for twenty or so years was the first site we looked in on in the morning even before the news or crappy emails and long, long before WhatsApp.
Here we are on the verge of a very special West Ham moment. We've all got the shits like we had before an FA Cup final I won't mention and a HORRENDOUS 90 minutes at Wembley that lifted our hearts and everything was perfect for however long you are personally able to keep 'perfect' in. Remember, at that FA Cup final AND Playoff final West Ham supporters actually DIED of heart attacks, such is the way we love our club.
So who are going to be the new boys of 86? Who's never going to be able to buy a drink for themselves as long as there's one of us in the same bar? You can talk the same bollocks about it being a shadow of the 'real' European Cups in the same way people deride the League cup against the FA Cup but fuck, how much do we want to win this? I feel it right down to my feet.
My personal hero is Antonio. From 'out of control shopping trolley' via right-back, winger and every position except goalie to a man giving 100% in each and every game he plays. I'm not going to lie (to use his own phrase) but I fucking love the bloke.
So, who are you going to remember in ten years?

If I had to single anyone out for special praise it'd be Declan Rice. He's simply world class and I hope this makes him stay on and push the club further.
The greatest thing about tonight though is that all the players and staff become heroes. They all put their name on that trophy.
So thank you West Ham United FC.

Well said chim - Ant has gone well up in my estimations of late. Also, if Soucek scores or has a good game, he will earn hero status, and for similar reasons.

Ignoring my views on Antonio I’ll be outside about others instead…
I don’t think you can look past Rice for dedication and commitment. He did have the odd game where he wasn’t quite on it but in those games the whole team was awful.
More often than not he is the heartbeat of this team and has carried us through games and inspired and demanded more from those around him.
I’d go as far as saying we would have been relegated without him and unlikely to have been in this final.

Exactly Mani, but I SO want to win this thing.
...as you know, I have never really been bothered about the shit that I think going down well on here anyway.
If we win though, we've never had it so good. Approach Benny in any bar you like and you won't even have to buy him anything alcoholic!

Your praise and admiration for Antonio won't go down well on here, Chim fella.
Not sure about ''heroes'' imo they will never be fondly remembered like say the 1980 side are. But let's win first and then find out.
